Message from the Exchequer:

 

The Exchequer in the SCA has functions which are similar to functions the Treasurer has in other organizations. We keep track of the money that the group earns and spends and on the goods purchased with those funds.

 

 

From the Bylaws of Oldenfeld:

The Exchequer is the financial officer of Oldenfeld, with duties and responsibilities itemized by SCA and Trimaris.  The Exchequer shall maintain all records associated with Oldenfeld inventories and bank accounts.  The Exchequer is a signatory on Oldenfeld bank accounts and shall report to the Citizens of Oldenfeld at least once each quarter at a regular business meeting: the bank account balance, major fund balances, all expenditures of more than $500, major sources of income and expense, and the reason for major changes in financial position.  The Exchequer, in consultation with the Coronet and Seneschal, and shall organize such audits as may be required or be appropriate.
