Oyez, oyez! The Baronial Herald is an job that affords its officer many
opportunities to assist fellow members in their quests for registering
names, devices and badges; and to perform before the populace for the
greater glory of Oldenfeld. Have you ever dreamed of proclaiming the words of a well-earned award out to an eager court? Does the challenge of researching the nuances of heraldic charges whet your appetite for more? Then this is the place for you!

Please contact me if you are interested in registering your SCA name or
personal heraldry, if you're interested in becoming a deputy of the Herald office, or if you'd like advice on how to recommend someone for an award at court.

 

From the Bylaws of Oldenfeld:

The Herald is the officer responsible for maintaining and promoting heraldic activities in Oldenfeld, including registration of Baronial awards and other heraldry, assisting Members of Oldenfeld with their name, device and badge design and registration, training heralds for service to Oldenfeld and Trimaris, providing voice heraldry to the Baron and Baroness, reporting the heraldic activities of Oldenfeld to Trimaris, and assuring proper site heraldry at Oldenfeld events.  The Herald is a warranted officer, subject to approval and requirements of the Trimaris Triskele Principal Herald.
